Prediction #5: Mike Davis and Cordarrelle Patterson will both be startable

The Atlanta Falcons offense often leaves much to be desired, but something has been brewing over the past two games. The team seems to be finding its stride under Arthur Smith. They had a full week to prepare for the Miami Dolphins, a team that’s watching its season spiral down the drain.

This week, the Falcons will get amazing outputs from both of its running backs. Cordarrelle Patterson is one of the most surprising players in fantasy this season. He has had double-digit points in every week after Week 1, and he scored close to 30 points in Week 4. Patterson has been a major part of this offense.

For the most part, that has come at the expense of Mike Davis. The offseason signing was expected to have a good season in this offense, but he’s lost a lot of touches to Patterson. However, in Week 5, the week before their bye, Smith found a good combination of the two. Davis had 13 carries and five targets against the New York Jets. He added a late touchdown to salvage his day for fantasy players.

This week, they are facing a Dolphins team that has allowed nine total touchdowns to opposing running backs. Expect both Patterson and Davis to hit paydirt this week, and the spiral of the Dolphins continues.
