Miami Dolphins

Unlike most of the teams on this list, the Miami Dolphins need to trade for different reasons: their season will be over before Nov. 2 even rolls around.

Only one 0-4 team has ever advanced to the playoffs, and the Dolphins are 0-5 in their last five games — their only saving grace is a one-point win in Week 1 against the New England Patriots.

The Dolphins even gave the Jaguars their first win of the season last week in London, meaning that trades could flow out of Miami to give the team an opportunity to rebuild next season.

The Dolphins have enjoyed the team they’ve built by swindling the Texans out of key draft picks, but they lost what is currently a No. 3 pick in 2022 to the Eagles when they traded up to take Jaylen Waddle.

Waddle matters little on what’s become a struggling offensive unit, and the Dolphins are underutilizing some of their best players that could become trading chips instead of walking away as free agents.

The Dolphins could get something big for Xavien Howard or Byron Jones, and they could trade away any one of these upcoming free agents: Emmanuel Ogbah,  Mike Gesicki, Brennan Scarlett or Elandon Roberts.

It’s high time Miami moved onto next year, and if they do land Deshaun Watson, they will need the  kind of supporting cast that led Tom Brady to a Super Bowl in his first year with the Buccaneers.
