4. Cameron Brate, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Rostered: 4.4%

If Gronkowski and Howard both sit out of Sunday’s game, Cameron Brate will be the only active tight end for the Buccaneers.

Brate has seen an increase in targets with Gronkowski out, but that has not translated into many fantasy points. Brate has still not scored a touchdown this season. If Gronkowski and Howard are out, there is a good chance that could change, as the Buccaneers have recorded 17 passing touchdowns this season, which is the second-most in the NFL.

Fantasy owners should monitor the statuses of both Gronkowski and Howard up until kickoff.

3. Hunter Henry, New England Patriots

Rostered: 62.4%

Hunter Henry has eclipsed Jonnu Smith as the best fantasy tight end in New England. Henry has scored a touchdown in three consecutive games. Since Week 4, he is sixth among tight ends in fantasy points.

Meanwhile, Smith finished with one reception for nine yards last week against the Cowboys. He has been targeted only three times across his past two games. In fact, Week 2 marked the last time Smith received more targets than Henry in a single game.

With a favorable matchup against the Jets this Sunday, Henry is a borderline TE1.
