6. Michigan Wolverines

The Wolverines keep on rolling. Michigan returned from the bye week and absolutely blasted Northwestern at home. The Wolverines improve to 7-0 on the season. It was a good game for the Wolverines to build some momentum before a rivalry battle against Michigan State.

That will be the big battle in East Lansing next, and the winner will be one step closer in their hopes of claiming the Big Ten East. Right now, the Wolverines probably stick right where they are in the sixth position.

5. Ohio State Buckeyes

The race in the Big Ten East is going to soon come to a boil. Penn State can probably detach itself after losing another conference game on Saturday, but Ohio State, Michigan, and Michigan State will be where the battle lies. Ohio State handled its business on the road against Indiana, and it wouldn’t be a shock for the Buckeyes to move into spot four.

Up next for Ohio State is a big battle against the Nittany Lions, who will look to bounce back after falling in nine overtimes. That will be a big win for the Buckeyes to put in their back pocket if they can get it at home. Having Michigan and Michigan State play each other next week will essentially turn the Big Ten East into a two-horse race.
