10 RB sleepers to target for fantasy football Week 7

3. J.D. McKissic, Washington Football Team
While the Packers should be able to get a big lead on the Washington Football Team, that shouldn’t impact their need to get J.D. McKissic involved in the offense. Antonio Gibson is dealing with an injury, but even if he suits up on Sunday, McKissic is still a good option to play in fantasy. He’s coming off by far his best fantasy output last week, catching eight balls for 65 yards and adding another 45 yards on the ground.
Taylor Heineke is learning how to get McKissic involved in the offense, and if Gibson is even limited, he will be a great replacement in this offense. The Packers haven’t allowed a ton of fantasy points to running backs, but they have allowed seven total touchdowns against including three through the air. McKissic is a good bet to score this week.
2. Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers
Chuba Hubbard was once the nation’s leader in NCAA rushing yards, but a dreadful final year at Oklahoma State cost him in the NFL Draft. That loss for Hubbard has been Carolina’s gain. Since Christian McCaffrey went down with an injury, Hubbard is getting better each week. Now that McCaffrey is on the IR, Hubbard is the go-to option in the backfield.
Sam Darnold is turning into a pumpkin after his Cinderella story from earlier this year. He hasn’t been the same since McCaffrey got hurt, but that isn’t hurting Hubbard’s production. Now, the Panthers are taking on a New York Giants team that is already looking towards the offseason. Hubbard can really take advantage of a defense that’s allowing 29 points to running backs per week.
1. Damien Harris, New England Patriots
Damien Harris is the Jekyl and Hyke of the running back position. He’s fumbled in the most desperate of situations for the New England Patriots, but the team really doesn’t have a choice but to keep playing him because he’s clearly the best option with James White done for the season.
Against the Cowboys, the Patriots ran the ball a total of 27 times, and Harris was given the ball 18 times. He is the bell cow in this backfield, and he’s doing something with the opportunity. Last week, he broke 100 yards and a touchdown. This week, he’s facing an overwhelmed Jets team that like their New Jersey brethren the Giants, the team is ready for this season to be over.
