Week 7 has been absolutely brutal for the Philadelphia Eagles and it got worse when former Eagle Zach Ertz scored a touchdown for his new team.

Things just aren’t going the Philadelphia Eagles way this week. While Philadelphia was getting crushed by the Las Vegas Raiders, one of the Eagles former stars was having a grand time beating up on the Houston Texans with his new team.

The Eagles are currently losing 33-22 to the Raiders. Meanwhile, Zach Ertz, who was traded to the Arizona Cardinals, is having a blast catching long touchdown passes from Kyler Murray. The Eagles could use some help on the offensive side of things and one of the best tight ends in the game has become a solid contributor for an already loaded Arizona offense.

And on top of all of that, Miles Sanders is hurt.

Sanders, one of the best parts of Philadelphia’s offense, is down with an ankle injury. That’s obviously not a good thing.

It wasn’t that long ago that Ertz was traded away from the Eagles to the Cardinals, where he is now thriving. When Philadelphia decided to trade away the talented and experienced tight end to the Cardinals, they ended up getting a fifth round draft pick and Tay Gowan, a rookie defensive back, in return.

That move will likely (rightfully) draw plenty of criticism as the addition of Gowan to this roster and a fifth round draft pick hasn’t done much to help Philadelphia against the Raiders.

However, a three-time Pro Bowl tight end probably could’ve helped the Eagles get another score or two.
