2. Top fantasy football pickups for Week 8 – Green Bay Packers WR Allen Lazard

Finding an opportunity to get a stake in the Green Bay Packers’ prolific offense can be difficult for even the savviest fantasy football owners. Outside of Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams and Aaron Jones, it is difficult to spotlight who the secondary points producers will be for the Packers.

The easiest bet is trying to figure out who the No. 2 receiver of the moment is and right now it appears to be Allen Lazard. Lightly used early in the season, Lazard appears to be clicking with Rodgers right now, who has looked Lazard’s way 11 times over the past two games.

Lazard has done solid work with those targets, securing eight catches for 87 yards and a pair of scores over that span, hitting pay dirt in each game. Week 7 was particularly efficient for Lazard, who converted 5-of-6 targets into 60 yards with a spike for good measure.

Lazard is rostered in just four percent of Yahoo leagues and has an excellent matchup in Week 8 against the Arizona Cardinals in a game that could easily turn into a shootout. Rolling the dice on Lazard as a WR3 this week could lead to a bountiful reward with the scoreboards likely to be turning a lot in the desert.
