2. L.J. Collier for 2023 6th-round pick

The same line of thinking that led to make Mark Ingram an option is why L.J. Collier appears on this list. After being a first round pick from TCU, Collier has been a healthy scratch in more games than he’s played this season. This trade would allow the Chiefs to get a pass rusher while Seattle recoup the pick it sent out to acquire Sydney Jones.

Seattle completely overhauled their defensive line this offseason. Unfortunately for Collier he has become the odd man out. The powerful edge defender was another in a series of shocking picks for Seattle in the first round of NFL draft. Still, just 26 years old Collier has been decent when he was on the field in 2020 starting all 16 games and finishing with 3 sacks and 7 tackles for loss.

With a defense that is tied with the Jacksonville Jaguars for worst in the league in sacks, any additional pass rush help is welcome. Oddly enough it may be Collier who Seattle acquired with the pick the Chiefs sent them for disappointing edge rusher Frank Clark. Collier could join fellow former Seahawk in an attempt to revitalize any semblance of a pass rush in Kansas City. The young defensive end may help more than just this season as well with the Chiefs having the ability to keep Collier around through the 2022 season.
