Running Back 1: Joe Mixon ($6,900)

Joe Mixon has a great shot at finishing as the top overall running back this week, as he’s playing the New York Jets, who give up the most fantasy points in the league to running backs. His volume is locked in as well, as his 123 carries are second in the league.

The only thing holding Mixon back from a top-three back in fantasy football is his lack of passing game usage and the nagging presence of Samaje Perine, who’s had 11 carries in each of his last two games. This week, however, with the Bengals cruising to their easiest win of the season, Mixon will see a lot of clock-chewing work and will be a dominant half of our two-headed monster.

Running Back 2: James Robinson ($6,600)

James Robinson was also featured in this week’s best matchups article, as he’s going against a bottom-of-the-barrel Seahawks defense. The Jags will be in a competitive game throughout, which will keep Robinson highly involved. He’s been so good this year that neither the game flow or the matchup affect him.

Having two elite RB1s in our lineup is going to bode well for us, as these guys each have high floors and great matchups, so they are locks to score loads of points. This unit may lead our lineup in scoring this week.
