Tight End: C.J. Uzomah ($3,700)

C.J. Uzomah has been a little too inconsistent this season to be a weekly TE1, but he’s capable of blowup games, as he’s had two games this season with two touchdowns. He has five total on the year. It’s obvious that Joe Burrow has come to trust him as a reliable target in this offense.

We’re banking on another big week for Uzomah going up against a bad Jets defense. If they sell out on slowing down Ja’Marr Chase (which no one has so far), this could mean more looks for Uzomah.

Flex: Eli Mitchell ($5,400)

Adding to our now three-headed monster at running back with a clear-cut starter in Eli Mitchell will beef up what is already a solid running back group. Mitchell has officially seized lead back duties in San Francisco after rushing 18 times for 107 yards and a touchdown, even with a healthy Trey Sermon and JaMycal Hasty.

Mitchell’s matchup against the Bears is an exploitable one, and getting him for less than $6,000 is a steal.

Defense: Philadelphia Eagles ($2,700)

Picking the Eagles defense in fantasy football doesn’t sound like a good idea, unless they are playing the Detroit Lions. They are in Week 8. Picking a cheap defense that’s playing against a bad offense is a good strategy because it allows you to spend more on positions that matter.
