Mac Jones will throw multiple interceptions

There have been times this season where Mac Jones has looked like a rookie. He threw three interceptions against the Saints in Week 3, and threw an absolutely ugly one in New England’s game against Houston. All things considered, Jones has actually done a somewhat decent job at protecting the ball. That said, he’s thrown an interception in four out of his last five games. The only game in that span in which he didn’t give the ball away was in Week 7 against the Jets.

The Chargers have been rather opportune when it comes to getting takeaways this season. Assante Samuel Jr. has come along nicely. He had consecutive weeks in which he came up with a timely interception. In Week 2 against Dallas, Samuel picked off Dak Prescott after the Chargers turned the ball over. The following week against Kansas City, he made a phenomenal interception while fully extended to kill a Chiefs drive.

The Chargers may struggle against the run, but they are fourth in the NFL in pass defense. If they can get consistent pressure on Jones, they will force mistakes to happen. Watch out for the Chargers secondary this week.
