Najee Harris will continue being the focus offensively

The Steelers first round pick is beginning to find his way in this offense. In the last two games, he has 269 all-purpose yards, including 122 yards rushing against Denver. It’s clear that Pittsburgh wants their offense to run through Harris. They drafted him in the first round for a reason. He has the capability of being an every down back, and the Steelers have used him as such. He has played in almost 90 percent of offensive snaps this season.

When Pittsburgh wasn’t running the ball well, they still found ways to get Harris the ball. He had 14 catches in Week 3 against the Bengals. In the Week 7 win over Seattle, he had six catches for 46 yards on top of 81 yards on the ground. His versatility is what Pittsburgh needed to compliment Roethlisberger and the passing game.

The Browns have a good run defense. They are allowing the second fewest rushing yards per game in the NFL. That said, between the tackles is where the Steelers could win the day offensively. Their interior offensive line is the strength of that unit. While Cleveland has a great edge presence, Pittsburgh can win battles up the middle.

Harris will carry the ball at least 20 times, and also be targeted out of the backfield. He will continue to get his touches, it’s just a matter of how dominant he can be when he has the ball. If he plays well, the Steelers will end the day 4-3.
