Cleveland Browns

If NFL teams can be “bit” by the injury bug, then the Browns are being devoured by it.

The Browns currently have eighteen — eighteen — players listed on their Week 8 injury report.

Big names include Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb, and Denzel Ward, not to mention three of the team’s wide receivers. Jarvis Landry, Odell Beckham Jr. and Donovan Peoples-Jones were on the report, with Landry and Beckham Jr. having limited practices on Thursday.

That’s all three of their starting wide receivers.

Despite the injury woes, the Browns have prevailed in one of the NFL’s most challenging divisions. They currently have a 4-3 record, which places them third in the AFC North but could easily land them a Wild Card spot.

If they want to survive the regular season and make the postseason, they will definitely need reinforcements, and Allen Robinson II is the kind of player who could push this team over the edge and above their AFC North counterparts. Landry and Beckham Jr. have superstar abilities, but a healthy Robinson II would give the Browns the starpower they’ve worked to accumulate over the years.

The Browns have been building toward this for years now, and to see it all washed away in 2021 because of injuries would be a shame. If Robinson II can provide for the city of Cleveland, he will make all the difference in the world for this well-constructed Browns team.
