2. Broncos bench Teddy Bridgewater for Drew Lock if they start slow

The story for Denver has been their inability to get anything going in the first half. That was evident in Week 7, as the Broncos could only muster 76 yards of total offense against Cleveland. And in the second half, the offense came to life with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater leading the team to two touchdown drives. Of course, that came a bit too late for Denver.

While Bridgewater has played relatively well thus far, the offense needs a jolt. They can not afford to show up in the second half instead of the opening kickoff. They were able to do so in the first three games because they played objectively bad football teams in the New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets.

Head coach Vic Fangio may very well be on the hot seat if he can not lead his team to wins, especially with the Kansas City Chiefs struggling to stay afloat in the AFC West race. So it would not shock us if he were to bench Bridgewater in the second half for Drew Lock.

Yes, Lock has struggled throughout his short NFL career, but the Broncos need to do something, anything to win some games.
