The Chiefs defense will not

The Chiefs are not as bad on defense now as they were a few weeks ago but small gains aren’t enough to make them a unit worth trusting yet.

The Giants haven’t exactly been offensive juggernauts this season. They rank 25th in scoring offense at just 19.9 points per game. They’re averaging 3.8 yards per carry and 91.7 yards per game.

All that is to say they won’t be a threat to completely undo Kansas City.

Still, they’re set to get running back Saquon Barkley and receiver Kenny Golladay back from injury this week while Daniel Jones is coming off one of his stronger performances against the Panthers.

The Chiefs haven’t been able to figure out their defense against offenses with a pulse. The Giants at least have that when Barkley is on the field.

The good news is holding New York to their average means giving up 20 points instead of 30.
