Bold Prediction #4: Justin Jefferson leads NFL in points

Wide receivers leading fantasy in points are all the rage, especially in PPR leagues. Ja’Marr Chase was the top skill position player in the NFL last week with his 200 yards and a touchdown on eight catches. This week, that honor is going to go to Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings.

Jefferson is coming off a bye week and he’s facing the Dallas Cowboys. This should be an offensive explosion. Both teams have talent out the wazoo and it will show as they are both well-rested. Both teams were off last week, so there should be a lot of points scored.

Dalvin Cook and Ezekiel Elliott will get their share of carries, but this game will be won and lost on the arms of Dak Prescott and Kirk Cousins. So, Jefferson will have to be at his very best to get his team over the hump. Trevon Diggs is getting a lot of love for his ability to get interceptions, but he’s actually allowing a lot of yards against, too. Diggs allows 20 yards per receptions and 10 yards per target. Jefferson just needs to break two huge plays to be one of the best in the league.

Also, Chase’s huge start to the season and the constant comparisons to Jefferson’s big season have to be motivating. Sure, Jefferson is rooting for his former LSU teammate, but he could be motivated at the same time.
