Detroit Lions: Jets’ WR Denzel Mims

There aren’t a lot of things that have been as disappointing to Jets fans as watching how the team handled their young wide receiver Denzel Mims. Coming into his second year, he was poised for a big role in a new offense. The Jets then preceded to add veteran talent to the wideout unit and draft another second-round receiver in Elijah Moore.

This has resulted in Mims playing only 13 offensive snaps so far in 2021. Mims is reportedly frustrated with the whole ordeal, and a fresh start may be best.

The Detroit Lions offense is bad. A non-football fan could tell that if they turned on a Lions game. Whether this is due to Jared Goff, the offensive line or anything else is up for debate. One thing that is certain is that this team is starved of weapons. When your leading receivers are Khalif Raymond and Amon-Ra St. Brown, you have some improving to do.

Mims would provide instant juice to this offense and give him the playing time he’s been dying for. This trade would make too much sense for all involved.
