New Orleans Saints: Eagles’ WR Jalen Reagor

The Eagles’ drafting of Jalen Reagor over Justin Jefferson may haunt them for years to come, as Reagor has now fallen to a third or fourth passing option in this offense. The Eagles drafted DeVonta Smith in the first round of this year’s draft, and they have an emerging weapon in Quez Watkins. All of this may make Reagor expendable.

With the Saints, they have continued to have a lack of passing weapon options not named Michael Thomas or Alvin Kamara. Marquez Callaway had a stellar preseason but hasn’t quite lived up to the hype he received. Even when Thomas returns, they need a reliable number two wideout for Jameis Winston, or whoever will end up quarterbacking the Saints in the future.

Reagor is an instant upgrade over Tre’Quan Smith and Deonte Harris, and could give the Saints another weapon to take the burden off of Kamara. Though the Saints have a depth issue at guard, they would be better off securing another offensive weapon.
