18. Kentucky Wildcats

The Kentucky Wildcats are going to have cowbells ringing in their ears for a week. It was a tough night for the Wildcats as they fell on the road to Mississippi State in Starkville. Will Levis struggled throwing the ball and keeping it out of the defense’s hand.

It’s just the second loss of the season for Kentucky, so they will probably fall a bit here but not completely out of the top 25 thanks to plenty of other programs that lost. A home date with Tennessee is next.

17. Wisconsin Badgers

Well here’s a sentence I don’t think anyone anticipated a few weeks back, but welcome back to the top 25 Wisconsin. The Badgers have won four straight games and suddenly have a path to winning the Big Ten West. The first step was knocking off Iowa. The next is taking down Minnesota at the end of the season.

The Badgers also have to avoid slipping up in the interim as well but with wins over Iowa and Purdue, it seems like a very real possibility the program can go to Indianapolis to represent its division. It’s been a stark turnaround the last four weeks in Madison.
