5 bold predictions for Packers against Chiefs
The Packers slipped by the Cardinals for their seventh win in a row last weekend. To run their streak to eight, they’ll need to outscore Patrick Mahomes.
Stopping Kyler Murray was enough to earn the Packers a big win last week and things won’t get any easier for Green Bay in Week 9. This Sunday afternoon, Aaron Rodgers and company head to Kansas City to take on a desperate Chiefs team.
It’s safe to bet that plenty of points will be put on the scoreboard. Patrick Mahomes’ team isn’t enjoying the sort of success it envisioned when the season began, but the Chiefs’ offense is still capable of explosive plays every time it touches the football. The same can be said about Rodgers and his Packers’ attack.
It’s still a game Green Bay should win given their white-hot form. Here are five bold predictions on how Matt LaFleur’s team will get it done against Kansas City.
5. Amari Rodgers will produce 50+ yards from scrimmage
The Packers’ coaching staff continues to be tantalized by Rodgers’ playmaking ability but they haven’t found a way to unlock his full potential yet. The former Auburn star logged one catch and one carry last week and he’s in line for a heavier workload against the Chiefs.
Rodgers still won’t get more than five touches but he will break one big play against Kansas City’s mediocre defense. That will get him at least 50 yards of production from scrimmage on Sunday afternoon.
