Tim Patrick, Wide Receiver

Finishing up his rookie contract this season, Tim Patrick is starting to make a name for himself as a reliable number two guy. Averaging 10.1 yards per catch this season, Patrick has more than stepped up in Jerry Jeudy’s absence.

The problem with the Broncos keeping Patrick is that they are already slated to pump a ton of money into their wide receiving group soon. Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, and even KJ Hamler are all going to get paid big in the next three to four years, and that leaves no room in the checkbook for Patrick.

However, there are plenty of teams that could definitely use a talented and have the cap space to afford it. The Packers are going to need to get some players with long-term commitments here soon because Devante Adams will be walking at the end of the season.

Kyle Fuller, Cornerback

Without Von Miller, the Denver Broncos’ defense is going to go from bad to terrible in the worst way possible. There is no way that the Broncos’ front office does not know this, and therefore there is no reason that any part of this defense does not get moved.

Kyle Fuller is not having a great year. He is giving up the second-highest completion percentage of his career, has zero interceptions through eight weeks, and is giving up a headache-inducing 15.8 yards per catch, or 9.8 yards per target. He has also seen a massive drop in playing time, going from being used in 99% of defensive snaps last year (100% in the year before) to 69% of snaps this season.

The Broncos’ defensive scheme is not set up for many people to succeed in, but this season it is especially detrimental to Kyle Fuller.

Fuller is expected to make 9 million dollars this year, making it even more of an issue that he is not being used. The Broncos have to try and give that number away and roll that cap over into the offseason.

There are plenty of teams that need to buy a cornerback at the deadline. Unfortunately for the Broncos, two of them are divisional rivals. However, the Cowboys and the Vikings could also be making the call, and for the right price, this is the trade to make.
