On Monday, the Los Angeles Rams went all-in, trading for veteran edge rusher Von Miller. Of course, Twitter gave its thoughts on the move.

After 12 seasons with the Denver Broncos, Von Miller is moving west.

Miller, who made eight Pro Bowls and three First-Team All-for squads during his time in the Mile High City, was traded on Monday to the Los Angeles Rams for a pair of Day 2 picks in the 2022 NFL Draft.

The Rams, who are 7-1 and tied atop the NFC West, are desperately trying to maximize their window of contention. After trading multiple first-round picks for quarterback Matthew Stafford this offseason, general manager Les Snead has parted with more draft capital to bring in the 32-year-old, future Hall of Famer.

However, the Broncos are paying Miller’s salary the rest of the season before he becomes a free agent. Of his remaining $9.7 million, the Rams are only on the proverbial hook for $700,000.

This year, Miller has played seven games and racked up 4.5 sacks. Over his career, the former Texas A&M star has amassed 110.5 sacks including seven campaigns in the double digits.

Here’s some of the reactions from notables on Twitter over the trade:

It’ll be fascinating to see how things shake. Miller is potentially a rental for the Rams, who are committed to major contracts on both sides of the ball. For Snead, this is the epitome of going for broke, as the core ages and his team attempts to win the franchise’s second Super Bowl.
