2. Braves should bring back Jorge Soler and Eddie Rosario

Whenever Ronald Acuña Jr. tore his ACL, the Braves front office wisely didn’t try to replace a superstar with a single player but, instead, went after a platoon of guys that included Jorge Soler, Eddie Rosario and Joc Pederson. That group was up-and-down in the regular season but they came up huge in the postseason, particularly Soler and Rosario.

Though the power of Pederson will always be enticing, his lefty-righty splits remain a worry when considering re-signing him in free agency. Meanwhile, getting a bat for either side of the plate with Soler and Rosario could help them quite a bit moving forward.

For starters, this season proved that the Braves needed outfield depth and, if both players were to walk in free agency after Atlanta traded for them, that could be an issue again in 2022.

Rosario’s glove and what he showed in the NLCS make him a valuable commodity. More importantly, the looming likelihood of the universal DH makes Soler even more valuable as he could be perfect for the Braves in that capacity moving forward.

Even better, it’s hard to imagine that either of these players would really prove all that costly on a new deal, though Atlanta could reward them for their help in capturing the franchise’s fourth World Series win.
