Steelers: Chris Boswell got his bell rung

Whether Boswell should’ve even thrown a pass in the first place is a totally different conversation. Mike Tomlin got lucky his team managed to pull out a win without a kicker — seriously, they had no backup plan. Pressley Harvin did not work out in the slightest, so the Steelers were forced to go for two-point conversions after touchdowns, the field goals were never an option.

Here’s the play Boswell was injured on:

So, yeah. Excessively stupid. Tomlin took the L for the play call, as he should. And now the Steelers could be without one of the best kickers in the league for several weeks.

But, should that have been flagged? Looked like pretty clear helmet-to-helmet on a defenseless player.

If you’re ever wondering what would happen if you or I subbed in to play professional football for even one play, this is a pretty clear example.

Boswell was knocked into next week, but the Browns should’ve been penalized.
