4. No Cowboys wide receiver will go over 100 yards

Last week both Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb went over the century mark in terms of receiving yards. Fangio and his defensive staff will be keenly aware of that fact heading into this Sunday’s game.

The Broncos will force Dallas to beat them in a different manner. Lamb and Cooper will still be effective parts of the Cowboys’ offense this week, but neither is going to torch the Denver secondary for big plays over the top.

Instead, look for the Broncos to force both of Dallas’ top wideouts to beat them on short and intermediate routes. Both guys will still rack up a healthy number of catches, but neither is going to experience the sort of banner day they aim for on a weekly basis.

Part of what makes Denver’s defense effective is their ability to force opponents outside their comfort zone. For Dallas, that means taking them out of their vertical pass game. The Cowboys will still move the ball but their degree of difficulty will increase this week.
