Running Back 1: Aaron Jones ($7,200)

The first of our two elite running backs is Aaron Jones, who is the overall RB5 in PPR leagues through eight weeks. Even with the uptick in usage for backup A.J. Dillon, Jones has remained an elite option, as he ranks 11th in the league in rushing yards, and has seven total touchdowns.

Jones gets a potential blowup spot this week against Kansas City, who has been slowly improving on defense. They’re now the 21st ranked rushing defense, opposed to dead last where they were a few weeks ago. If the Packers find themselves in a shootout with Kansas City, Jones has out-targeted Dillion 39-12 so far this season.

Jones is a surefire RB1 this week with a top-10 floor. He’ll lead our running back group, along with our next guy.

Running Back 2: Nick Chubb ($6,700)

Having Jones and Nick Chubb in the same lineup feels illegal, but with our balanced wide receiver trio, it was possible to acquire two elite guys. Chubb returned from a two-game absence and immediately resumed workhorse duties, posting a 16-61 line against a good Pittsburgh run defense.

Things should get a little easier against an 18th-ranked Bengals defense against running backs in fantasy football. Their run defense has been a top-10 unit so far, but Chubb’s dual threat ability keeps his floor at an RB1 every week.

Both of these running backs have top-10 upside this week and should provide us with most of our points.
