5 bold predictions for the Steelers against the Bears
Najee Harris will eclipse 100 yards on the ground
The Steelers offensive line has begun to come into its own, and it’s showing in Najee Harris’ rushing numbers. Throughout the first four games, Harris totaled just 185 yards on 55 carries, good for just 3.3 yards per carry. In Pittsburgh’s last three games, the rookie has 294 yards on 76 carries, which is close to 3.9 yards per carry.
While that still isn’t quite where the Steelers want their offensive line to be, they have shown patience with the run game. Harris has had at least 23 carries in each of the last three games. He didn’t have more than 16 rushes throughout the first four games.
The Bears defense is allowing 125 rushing yards per game, ranking 25th among all NFL teams. The Steelers ran well against the Browns, who rank third in the NFL at stopping the run. The formula that has worked for Pittsburgh has been running the ball a ton, and letting that set up third and short situations. Pittsburgh is the best team in the NFL at converting third downs between one and three yards.
If the Steelers stick to what has been working, Harris will get his second career 100 yard game in a victory.
