The Chiefs will hold Jordan Love under a 100 quarterback rating

Kansas City has played four teams with winning records and four teams with losing records this season. They’re 4-4 with those two divisions fitting perfectly on one side and the other. Four wins over losing teams. Four losses to winning teams.

So the trends don’t bode well with the Packers coming to town at 7-1 with their one and only loss coming all the way back in Week 1.

However, Aaron Rodgers won’t be at quarterback and he’s been the biggest factor for Green Bay bouncing back from their season-opening loss. He threw two interceptions and zero touchdowns with a quarterback rating of 36.8 against the Saints. Since then he’s hit 17 touchdowns with just one interception while maintaining a quarterback rating of 114.1.

When the Chiefs have allowed the opposing quarterback to put up a rating above 100 they are predictably 1-3. When they have held the opposing passer under 100, they are 3-1.

What does all that mean? Better passers have torn up the Chiefs’ defense. Lesser ones have not been able to take advantage.

It’s a pretty simple equation and certainly not groundbreaking. Fortunately for KC, Jordan Love is far more likely to fit into the latter group than the former.
