Bold Prediction #4: Fade Damien Harris

Damien Harris has been very good to fantasy football owners this year. After a slowish start that included some turnovers, he’s turned it on in recent weeks. He’s scored a touchdown in four-straight games, and he had at least 15 points in PPR leagues for three-straight games. The Patriots are really taking advantage now that Harris seems to have his fumbling under control.

The Patriots are facing a Carolina Panthers defense that is really taking advantage of other teams this season. They are especially good against running backs. They’ve allowed 17 points per game against the position per game, which is second least in the entire league. They’ve only allowed three rushing touchdowns all season.

Between the Panthers’ rushing defense and their inability to actually do anything on offense, expect a very boring game. There won’t be a lot of points from either side, and the Patriots will try to make a statement against former cornerback Stephon Gilmore, who was traded to the Panthers earlier this year. The Patriots are looking to make a statement this week, but it’s not going to be a statement on the ground. They will spend more time in the passing game.
