Bold Prediction #5: Buy Into Titans Passing Offense
The Tennessee Titans got the worst news possible in terms of the injury front when they found out that Derrick Henry was likely going to miss the rest of the season. Their entire offense is built around Henry, and the Titans are currently the number-one seed in the AFC. There’s a lot on the line here, and now they have to rethink everything when they have the ball.
It’s not like the Titans have someone incompetent under center. Ryan Tannehill is a good quarterback. He does make some mistakes, but in terms of fantasy, Tannehill is a good option to turn around the offense without the get-out-of-jail-free card that is Henry.
Tannehill is expected to get Julio Jones back this week, and A.J. Brown has been destroying defenses over the past few games. Jeremy McNichols, who is taking over for Henry as the starting running back, is actually third on the team in receiving yards. So, Henry getting hurt might ironically help Tannehill’s numbers.
Start Jones. Start Brown (obviously). Start Tannehill, and especially start McNichols. These four are going to do very well for fantasy owners.
