Mark Ingram scores first touchdown with Saints since 2018

The Saints were one of a few teams to make a move ahead of the trade deadline, and they did so to bring back a familiar face to the offense. Mark Ingram, whom the team selected 28th-overall in the 2011 NFL Draft, was traded back to New Orleans by the Houston Texans for a 2024 seventh-round draft pick. The deal was made not just for this year, as the Saints signed him to a one-year, $2.8 million contract extension that keeps him on the team until the end of the 2022 season.

Ingram made his return to the Superdome this past weekend against the Buccaneers, where he rushed for 27 yards on six carries, while catching two passes for 25 yards.

This week, Ingram has the chance to score his first touchdown with the Saints since he was last with the team in 2018. The Falcons have surrendered 125.1 rushing yards per game (seventh-most in the league) and six touchdowns thus far. We like Ingram’s odds to get in the end zone.
