16. Baylor Bears

The Baylor Bears are going to fall in the upcoming rankings. The Bears came up short in a 30-28 loss at TCU. The loss won’t plummet them out of the rankings, but they’ll certainly lose some spots because of it.

Baylor was hoping to have a path to the Big 12 title game but that’s now in jeopardy with Oklahoma State and Oklahoma ahead of it. Perhaps this week was a case of looking ahead as the Bears get ready to host the Sooners next.

15. BYU Cougars

BYU decided to score 59 points a week after it scored 66. Granted this time it was against Idaho State, but the points machine is not broken in Provo. The points machine should keep rolling as BYU has just two games remaining in the regular season.

The Cougars will visit Georgia Southern next, where it should assuredly rack up some more. The finale in USC could provide BYU an opportunity to get to 10 wins again on the season as well as beating another Pac-12 opponent. It’s a shame they can’t award the Pac-12 South crown to the Cougars.
