8. Notre Dame Fighting Irish

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish didn’t mess around in a win over Navy. Notre Dame allowed just six points in a 34-6 win. With the win, the Fighting Irish have a strong chance at finishing the season 11-1.

With enough chaos and a strong finish, it could change the playoff conversation. Right now, Notre Dame should plan on playing in a New Year’s Six bowl nonetheless. The Irish will hit the road to face Virginia next.

7. Michigan Wolverines

After losing to Michigan State, Michigan responded with a nice win over Indiana. The Wolverines played strong defensively and got rolling on offense as the game went on. Michigan State is still trying to factor into the playoff discussion and is on the outside looking in.

The Wolverines now prepare for another big contest. Michigan will visit Penn State next. It’s a big game that Jim Harbaugh needs a win in before he prepares for a late season battle against Ohio State.
