2. Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns’ current storyline is arguably the best thing the WWE has going right now. The Head of the Table storyline has been compelling, emotional, and has kept Smackdown watchable at the very least.

And that story was built with The Rock at the end of it.

The Rock is the ultimate ending to Roman Reigns storyline. He is the last member of the legendary Anoa’i family to not acknowledge Reigns as the Tribal Chiefs since his return a year and a half ago. He is the longtime face of the family, a spot that Reigns has been trying to take for almost a decade.

This match and program will be emotional, hard-hitting, and likely very personal for Reigns. Everyone would get very deep in the build to this match: Reigns, The Rock, the Usos, even Paul Heyman, and the fans.

Plus the match would fantastic as well. The Rock is a very emotional wrestler, which matches well with Reigns’ new style of wrestling. The final spot also books itself, with The Rock throwing Reigns’ arm over his neck for the Rock Bottom, only for Reigns to flip it around and lock in the guillotine choke to end the match.

This likely is number one on most lists, but not this one. One other wrestler has so much more to gain from wrestling The Rock.

1. Big E

Big E versus The Rock is perfect in every way shape and form. Promo battles between the New Day and The Rock. The emotional promo packages. The match potential. Every part of this idea is perfect, as long as it is executed well.

Big E’s time is finally now and he has the support of the WWE crowd behind him. He does not need the rub from The Rock to get over, but if WWE is serious about making sure that he is the future of the company, he absolutely needs this.

The Rock is one of the best promos in wrestling history, but Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E all can keep up. The soundbites would be immediately viral and probably stick around for years as a turning point for WWE.

Meanwhile, the match books itself and should be elite. Big E pushing himself to the absolute brink because he knows his time is now. He can not lose now. The Rock being unable to keep Big E down and admiring his resilience. The closing moments of Wrestlemania, as Big E lifts up The Rock for the Big Ending, hitting the three count as Sofi Stadium erupts with cheers.

In a time where WWE has struggled to build future stars and has not been the greatest at creating moments that will stick with people for a lifetime, this is exactly what the WWE needs to do.
