1. RB Dalvin Cook, Vikings (vs. Los Angeles Chargers)

Dalvin Cook going up against the 32nd-ranked Los Angeles Chargers run defense? Forget about it. Cook has a good shot at being the overall top running back in fantasy football this week as he’s playing against the Chargers, who allow 161.6 rushing yards per game.

Cook has 115 carries for 554 yards and two touchdowns, and even with missing a game and having a bye week, he still should compete with Jonathan Taylor for the top running back spot now that Derrick Henry suffered an injury.

This week should help catapult Cook into the top of the running back standings, as he has as good of a chance as any back to score the most fantasy points this week. Consider him a top-five lock with the upside for this week’s fantasy running back crown.
