College football upset pick Week 11, No. 4: Auburn

Rank: 16 | Opponent: vs. Mississippi State | Time: Saturday, Nov. 13, Noon ET

Auburn looked like they were primed to play spoiler for the rest of the season, but then Texas A&M came and humbled them. They fell out of the top 15, and now they are looking to bounce back against Mississippi State. Both teams are coming off pretty disappointing losses, but Auburn is absolutely on upset alert this week.

Bo Nix has been unable to bring consistency to the Auburn offense this season. One week he looks like a legitimate star, and the next week he looks like he is too young to be a starting QB in the SEC. Auburn’s season is now about getting into a good bowl game, which could have the team lose focus this week.

Now, Mississippi looks to be the team to play spoiler. They got knocked off their perch last week by Arkansas one week after beating Kentucky. The middle teams in the SEC keep knocking each other off.

The kickers were the headline grabbers for Mississippi State, but let’s say there’s a story tale ending for them this week. Can they win on a game-winning field goal? It seems like fate in the battle of the Bulldogs.
