Warriors wing Andrew Wiggins faced off against his former team, the Timberwolves, and put his old teammate Karl-Anthony Towns on a poster with a huge dunk.

The Golden State Warriors have seen Andrew Wiggins be a bit hot-and-cold since he joined the franchise. Having said that, when they played host to the wing’s former team on Wednesday night, the Minnesota Timberwolves, Wiggins was ready for the challenge.

In fact, it looked like he wanted to punish the team that drafted him No. 1 overall years ago.

Late in the second quarter, Wiggins emphatically made that look like the case as the Warriors veteran took off towards the rim. And when his former teammate, Karl-Anthony Towns tried to contest, all Wiggins did was put the big man on a poster with a thunderous slam.

Wiggins undoubtedly provided the highlight of the night for the Warriors with that dunk — and gave himself a poster he should frame on his wall at home — but he was also integral to the team’s success.

Golden State took a double-digit lead into halftime and Andrew Wiggins was a key part of that as the veteran notched 22 points in the first 24 minutes of play and was perfect from the field.

He eventually missed in the second half but, even then, he clearly had a mission with something to prove against his former team and many former teammates.
