Is Aaron Rodgers upset with the Green Bay Packers’ brass for not winning the Odell Beckham Jr. sweepstakes?

NFL free agent Odell Beckham Jr. signed with the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday afternoon after being released by the Cleveland Browns last week. Earlier in the day, it was reported that Beckham was down to three finalists for his services: Kansas City, New Orleans, and Green Bay.

However, a late push from LA provided what Beckham was looking for. He even received a call from new teammate Von Miller. The Packers appear to have made a push for Beckham. In the end, they fell short.

The Packers currently rank 22nd in the NFL in total offense and 20th in points per game. Davante Adams leads the team in receiving yards, while Randall Cobb and Aaron Jones lead in receiving touchdowns with four. Rodgers has 17 passing touchdowns in eight games. They lead the NFC North and hold the No. 2 seed in the conference.

Packers missing out on OBJ could bring an end to the Aaron Rodgers era

The frustrations and disconnect between Rodgers and the Packers have been lingering and apparent for some time now. This past offseason, Rodgers aired out plenty of dirty laundry and made it very public he and the franchise do not see eye-to-eye on how to move forward. It is not a stretch to assume Rodgers could be upset for the Packers not giving him what he wants. .. yet again.

In the eyes of Rodgers, this could just be another example of the franchise being either unable or unwilling to do whatever it takes to improve the offense. Not pushing harder for Beckham could be the final nail in the coffin and ultimately lead to a messy divorce between Rodgers and Green Bay we’ve seen building for months.
