16. Texas A&M Aggies

While most of the SEC was playing an FCS layup, Texas A&M had the task of going on the road to try and slow down Ole Miss. The Aggies defensively weren’t too bad against the Rebels, but the offense was a disappearing act.

Texas A&M will drop in the rankings but it will be interesting to see how far. The Aggies get their FCS layup next with Prairie View A&M. After beating Auburn at home last week, it was one step back for A&M this week.

15. UTSA Roadrunners

Is the best football team in Texas in San Antonio? Inquiring minds want to know. If it’s not A&M or Baylor, perhaps its UTSA. The Roadrunners continue to roll and are now 10-0 on the season after a win over Southern Miss.

The Roadrunners do have a battle to prepare for as they get ready to host UAB next. UAB is directly behind UTSA in the standings. If the Roadrunners can win their next two and the conference title game, they should look toward a New Year’s Six appearance.
