14. BYU Cougars

BYU is enjoying its bye week. The Cougars got to trounce Idaho State before going on the bye and they likely get to roll over Georgia Southern coming out of it next week. With two more wins, the Cougars can end the regular season with 10 wins.

The final game at USC can be an opportunity for BYU to claim another Pac-12 South victim. The Cougars are likely going to a quality bowl game after another quality season. Certainly a nice year in Provo.

13. Wake Forest Demon Deacons

It wasn’t the usual high-scoring affair Wake Forest is used to, but it bounced back with a win over N.C. State. The Demon Deacons were coming off a close loss to UNC that ended their perfect season.

Wake Forest now prepares for a road contest against Clemson. The good news is Wake Forest is on a collision course with Pitt to meet in the ACC Championship Game in Charlotte. The winner will go to a New Year’s Six bowl.
