Aaron Rodgers made his return from the COVID-19 list and helped the Packers to a key win. The QB got emotional after the victory.

Green Bay Packers fans were certainly glad to see Aaron Rodgers back under center on Sunday afternoon at a snowy Lambeau Field for a date with the Seattle Seahawks. The future Hall-of-Fame quarterback, of course, was making his return after going on the Reserve/COVID-19 list after a positive test and the ensuing drama regarding his unvaccinated status.

Disregarding the drama, though, Rodgers returned to the field and, largely thanks to a huge defensive performance from Green Bay as they blanked also-returning Russell Wilson and Seattle, the Packers picked up the big win.

After the game, though, reporters noticed that the quarterback was “misty-eyed” while speaking with the media. Subsequently, he was asked about it and Rodgers noted that he didn’t want to take moments like the win on Sunday for granted.

Aaron Rodgers doesn’t want to take Packers wins for granted

Despite the (mostly deserved) negative press that Aaron Rodgers has been at the center of over the past couple of weeks, one thing that can’t be questioned is that the Packers quarterback cares about what happens on the field.

Even with his future in Green Bay still in doubt, his “misty-eyed” reaction to the win over Seattle on Sunday after missing a game shows that he still breathes the game of football and every time out, it means something to him.

And for what it’s worth, that has the Packers looking dangerous. Sunday was a perfect example of that as Rodgers wasn’t at his best but the defense is playing at such a high level that the team still got the win.

If this is the last hoorah for Rodgers in Green Bay, he’s got the team around him to certainly go out on top.
