Pittsburgh Steelers star pass rusher, T.J. Watt, left the team’s game against the Detroit Lions with what looked like a hip injury.
Watt is a three-time Pro Bowler and who many would consider the midseason Defensive Player of the Year in the NFL, seemingly in a battle with fellow AFC North pass-rusher Myles Garrett.
The 27-year-old and Wisconsin product was able to limp off the field after bending his knee awkwardly, but many Steelers fans immediately assumed the worst. Hopefully, as Watt heads to the injury tent, it’s not as bad as it seems.
Oh no, oh no. TJ Watt sacks Jared Goff and immediately grabbed for his knee. The #Steelers medical staff goes hustling out to the field.

T.J. Watt injury: How long is he out?
Watt was testing his knee on the sidelines, so there’s a chance he could come back in the game if the Steelers medical staff deems him fit. However, given his status and importance to the team, you can bet Mike Tomlin and Co. will have an eye on him for the rest of the contest

T.J.'s out of the tent, bouncing around a bit to test the knee. Helmet in hand, he's walking right back over to join his teammates.

The Steelers were locked in a tough test against the winless Lions at the time of the injury. Given how their last two games have gone — needing the officials’ help to beat the lowly Bears and now struggling against Detroit — Watt being out for any significant amount of time is an ailment they cannot afford.
