2021 NFL power rankings, Week 11: Cowboys, Packers, Bills rebound
After a 3-0 start, the Raiders have now dropped four of their last six contests after being thumped at home by the rival Chiefs. The Las Vegas’ offense was limited to just 299 total yards and Gus Bradley’s defense had no answers with Patrick Mahomes.
He threw for 406 yards and five scores in the 27-point decision. The Raiders also failed to come up with a sack and their defense struggled to cover running back Darrell Williams and tight end Travis Kelce.
It’s been hard to get a gauge on a Bengals’ club that followed a 41-17 win at Baltimore with losses to the Jets and Browns in which Zac Taylor’s squad gave up a combined 75 points. Still, there are more positives than negatives for a team that has already surpassed its 2020 win total.
Joe Burrow has thrown for 20 scores, wideout Ja’Marr Chase is an NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year candidate and Trey Hendrickson (8.5 sacks) has bolstered the pass rush.
The Black and Gold were riding a four-game winning streak (after a 1-3 start) as they hosted the winless Lions. But veteran Ben Roethlisberger (COVID-19) would not be available on Sunday.
Backup quarterback Mason Rudolph led the team to a first-quarter touchdown but the Steelers never found the end zone again as Mike Tomlin’s team gave up the football three times – twice in overtime. And Keith Butler’s defense gave up 229 yards on the ground.
