20. Caesars Superdome (New Orleans Saints)

It’s too dark. I’m sorry, but the stadium is way too dark. If it were brighter and didn’t look like the setting of a horror movie, it would be higher. Some domes can’t seem to figure out the lighting. The Cardinals have that problem, but the Saints really have that problem. The design isn’t great, either. It looks like a pop socket people put on the back of their phones.

My personal hatred for dark domes aside, I respect how hostile of an environment this stadium is. When the Superdome is at its loudest, it rivals Seattle with the noise level, and is a big reason why the Saints have been so successful in that building for so long.

Regardless, this is just a “meh” stadium to me. I respect I’m in the minority on this, but the field is really plain. There’s no color in the end zones, the team name doesn’t pop out because it is written in black and highlighted by a dark gold color. The exterior is impressive in size, but that’s it. I couldn’t put it any lower because of its atmosphere and the fact that it has hosted several Super Bowls. If not for those two saving graces, this would be a bottom five stadium.
