Every NFL stadium ranked from worst to best
2. SoFi Stadium (Los Angeles Rams and Chargers)
Call it a recency bias all you want, this stadium is gorgeous. And I understand, SoFi is barely in its toddler stages. It’s barely a year and a half old and doesn’t have the historical context and lure of other stadiums around the league. That said, what it lacks in history, it makes up for with over-the-top pomp and splendor.
To begin, the exterior of the stadium is jaw-dropping. It looks like a sting ray set to the backdrop of a waterfall. The shape and design is so unique and outrageous, I wouldn’t be shocked if Elon Musk designs his next car after it.
It has a halo-like screen that hangs over the field. Los Angeles saw Jerry Jones’ screen and said “Anything you can do, I can do better.” The turf is an absolute gorgeous dark green that compliments the on-field art perfectly.
My favorite part about the interior, though- those beautiful end zones. The Chargers and Rams both utilize the best end zone art concept in the NFL. The end zones are colored, but there is one yard of green that frames the team art. It works incredibly well with both the powder blue of the Chargers and the darker blue of the Rams. Aesthetically pleasing both inside and out, this is a near perfect stadium.
