2. Case Keenum will throw for more yards than Baker Mayfield on the afternoon

For the second straight week, Case Keenum will throw for more yards than Baker Mayfield. For as much as Mayfield will want to gut this one out, the Lions are going to muddy it up and will knock him out of the game with yet another injury. That means Keenum will be called into action to save the team from an unthinkable home defeat to the winless Lions. Keenum will come up big, though.

While neither Keenum or Mayfield threw for over 100 yards vs. the Patriots defense last weekend, Keenum will break the century mark passing while trying to game-manage the Browns to victory. Mayfield may have been the one to connect with Hooper for six early in the ball game, but a second-quarter sack-fumble will have Mayfield give way to Keenum shortly before halftime.

Up by a single score heading into the second half, Keenum will lean on D’Ernest Johnson in an ultra-conservative game plan devised by Kevin Stefanski. It may make Browns fans furious to not see their beloved team put away the Lions for good early, but Stefanski knows that Goff is not about to beat the Browns with the way the defensive front-seven is getting push in this ballgame.

Look for Keenum to complete 70 percent of his passes for 175 yards and a late touchdown strike.
