Trevor Siemian throws for 300 yards for the first time since 2017
The Saints have gone winless following their Week 8 win over the Buccaneers. With Jameis Winston out, head coach Sean Payton relied on Trevor Siemian to start under center to keep the team in the postseason hunt.
While they have not won a game, Siemian has put up relatively solid numbers in his past two starts. Facing the Falcons, he completed 25-of-41 pass attempts for 249 yards and two touchdowns. This past weekend against the Titans, Siemian threw for 298 yards and two touchdowns while completing 19-of-34 of his passes.
This week, Siemian is facing an Eagles defense that has surrendered over 300 passing yards to the opposition recently. Philadelphia surrendered 323 yards to Derek Carr of the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7 and Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 9.
The last time Siemian threw for over 300 yards came back on Oct. 17, 2017, where he recorded 376 yards in a 23-10 loss to the New York Giants. He will record over 300 yards this weekend in Philadelphia.
