10 RB sleepers to target for fantasy football Week 11
By Nick Villano
3. David Montgomery, Chicago Bears
David Montgomery returned to the lineup two weeks ago, and he looked pretty good against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He ran for 63 yards on the ground and caught two balls through the air. The Bears had their bye week for Montgomery to get closer to 100% and to get more used to an offense led by a more confident Justin Fields.
Montgomery and the Bears are taking on the Baltimore Ravens, a team that has been known to play down to its competition. They almost lost to the Detroit Lions. This might be another week where they overlook the Bears, and Montgomery can put in a score early in the game.
2. Michael Carter, New York Jets
The Miami Dolphins and New York Jets are facing off this week in a game that most people should ignore. The only reason people might put it on their TV is to see Joe Flacco make mistakes and for fantasy football reasons. Michael Carter is going to be the central part of the game plan since Flacco is not good. Carter needs to be ready for insane volume.
Carter has been pretty good for most of the season despite playing for the Jets. He is going to be a checkdown machine this Sunday. One game this season, he had nine catches and 95 yards through the air. That was just receiving. This should be another big game in PPR leagues.
1. D’Ernest Johnson, Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns love to run the ball, and Nick Chubb is returning from a stint on COVID protocols. Those two facts, along with the fact that D’Ernest Johnson has been really good in the starting role, should lead to him getting more love in fantasy lineups. Chubb might be really good, but Kevin Stefanski is going to give Johnson his fair share of carries.
Johnson and the Browns are taking on a Lions defense that is coming off a tie last week. Johnson is going to get a lot of carries since the Browns are likely going to be in the lead for most of the game. Chubb will get a lot of the workload early, but Johnson will be getting the majority of carries in garbage time.
