First-time head coach Nick Sirianni has his critics. But the Eagles are becoming an intriguing team. And off a 17-point win at Denver, the Philadelphia offense had another big afternoon. The New Orleans Saints entered Week 11 as the league’s top team vs. the run.

But the Birds rolled up 242 yards on the ground on 50 attempts, with Jalen Hurts running for 69 yards and three touchdowns. Sirianni’s team owned a 33-7 lead late in the third quarter.

The Saints got off to a 5-2 start this season and their last win came against the defending Super Bowl champion Buccaneers. But it has been all downhill since as the losing streak reached three straight with a double-digit loss at Philadelphia.

Sean Payton’s team has given up a combined 90 points during this three-game skid. The Saints turned over the ball three times. But more significantly, Dennis Allen’s defensive unit allowed 242 yards on the ground.

The Panthers got back to the .500 mark last week with a win at Arizona. Now one-time Carolina head coach Ron Rivera brought the Washington Football Team to Charlotte. Cam Newton was at the controls for Matt Rhule’s club and the team played turnover-free football.

The 11-year pro ran for 46 yards and one score and also passed for 189 yards and two touchdowns. But the Panthers’ aggressive defense was gashed for 190 yards on the ground.
