Chicago Bears fans are not the only ones ready for changes at Halas Hall, with players reportedly wanting Matt Nagy fired.

On Sunday, the Chicago Bears lost their fifth game in a row in disastrous fashion at home against the Baltimore Ravens.

A botched handling of timeouts and a defensive combustion led to the Ravens coming back to sneak out of Soldier Field with a much needed win to maintain hold of the AFC North.

Bears head coach Matt Nagy is finding his seat even hotter than it was before. TV broadcasts could clearly pick up “Fire Nagy” chants at the Bears’ home field and continuously showed frustrated fans finally having enough. Frustration and calls for his job have reached the locker room.

For context, Jordan Schultz co-hosts a podcast with current Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson.

Bears players are ready for change in leadership

Following the Monday night loss to the Steelers a couple weeks ago, Nagy came to the media with the quote, “It’s nobody’s fault except everyone’s fault.” It seems that players and fans alike feel differently. In Nagy’s four seasons as head coach, the Bears have had a losing streak of four or more games in three of them.

An even crazier stat comes when you talk about the Bears record off of the bye week. The Bears are 0-4 off the bye week with Nagy at the helm. In those four games, three were started by the opposing team’s backup quarterback (including Sunday). One of those back-ups was former NFL quarterback Brock Osweiler, who has beaten a Nagy led Bears team three times with three different teams.

Nagy is not the only one sitting with a hot seat. Fans would be hard pressed to enjoy seeing general manager Ryan Pace to have a third shot at hiring a head coach. Beyond that, frustrations of not seeing a change in the way this team has produced has started a movement of founding family ownership selling the team.
